Could the pressure be getting to Jay Cutler?

November 24th, 2009 | by BearsSTH |

Cutler left 14 points on the board as he over threw back-to-back passes to Greg Olsen and Devin Hester and to a streaking Johnny Knox in the 4th quarter for a potential game winning score.

It was only a few weeks ago when we thought that no matter what the score was, the Bears were always going to be in the game just by having Cutler. Now we cringe and hold our breath when Cutler goes back to pass because he’ll either get leveled by a defender or he’ll throw an interception.

Last night, for the first time, we saw that Cutler was feeling the heat, not from the pass rush but from the fans booing. Chicago isn’t an easy town to play in. The fans here have high expectations for the Bears, especially after the Super Bowl appearance and trading for Cutler.

Many expected the Bears to contend for a Super Bowl. Last year, the Bears finished 9-7 with Kyle Orton. There were a couple games, where games were lost because of the Orton’s inability to make the throws he needed to keep a drive alive or to win a game. Our thought was that if we had a better quarterback, the Bears would’ve been a couple wins better than 9-7.

We can all agree that Cutler is more talented and an overall better quarterback with a stronger arm, has mobility and the swagger to be a top NFL quarterback. We definitely thought this year, the Bears would be a couple games better than 9-7 with Jay Cutler, The Savior.

I’m from Denver and the Bears put to much faith in Cutler. He was par here and he is even worse in Chicago. As for Kyle Oton, yes we have lost 4 games, but we startred out great and we beat the Giants on Thursday. So as far as I can see it…NO TAKE BACKS! We will keep our QB thank you very much!!!

Good luck with Jay’s bad attitude and cry baby temper-tantrums.
