I think when you start to take talented players & diminish their skills rather than help them thrive thrn you are a terrible coach. Look at what they bears have done to hester & cutler it is inexcusible. Lovie & staff have to go. I would love to see what Cohwer could do with the Bears. I know that defense would get turned around quick. Shannahan would be great choice to further develop cutler since he is the future give him all the tools he needs to further develop. Since Shannahan is an o guy bring bck Rivera as dc. The bears went south after he left coinsidence I don't think so.

I would be surprised if the Bears did something at the end of this season, but with that being said, the addition of Jay Cutler and the lack of production of the big contract players, it might be the best thing to cut ties and start rebuilding now. I have never been a big Lovie Smith fan but as a Bear fan I have continued to support him and his staff. At this point I would be thrilled to see Bill Cowher or Mike Shanahan in Chicago! There influence on a GM would be supported as well, although I will be the first to admit I thought Jerry was doing the right thing when he was signing all of our top performers to decent extensions.
